The 24 / 7 pace was determined using data from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the American Music Awards. This band list represents the best of the biggest rock’n “roll bands of all time – as well as the most popular rock bands in history.
We’ve seen albums from some of the biggest bands in the world, but it seems we’re also witnessing the rise of hard rock bands. In 2019, dozens of great albums by Led Zeppelin, U2, Metallica, Pink Floyd and many more will be released. Rocks ‘n Roll is really alive and we’re seeing more trends in recent music than ever before in our history of rock ‘n roll.
Then a new wave of artists playing air guitars, from Aerosmith to Alter Bridge to Phil Campbell of MotAPrhead, releasing new hard rock projects and much more.
The musically untrained, outwardly unwashed Ramones were born, unwittingly scribbled on the back of an old edition of The New York Times in the early 1970s.
They became flaccid heroes, imitating Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton, and became one of the most influential rock bands of their generation. The Stones have always followed the taste of music, and they love American rock and blues. If you listen to the 1968 album Beggars Banquet, you can hear the sound of soul and blue in every song.
Believing doesn’t stop is an example of Journey’s triumph as a band, and although the song wasn’t released in the same century, it became the best-selling track in iTunes history in 2009.
Known as a power ballad, she was praised by fans for having the most powerful guitar solo in the band’s history, as well as the song’s powerful vocals. One of my favorite songs – to songs, it’s the track that made it big, and it’s one of our favorite songs.

It’s amazing how often they can pack a house, as they did in Rio de Janeiro in 2006.

Girls (1978) and Tattoo You (1981) are among her most popular albums and her best-selling album to date. The Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley were the most successful rock bands of all time with over 200 million sales.
The remaining members celebrate their 50th anniversary by taking the album on a world tour. The band formed in Hawthorne, California, and released their iconic album Pet Sounds, which Paul McCartney cited as the inspiration for Sgt. Pepper. Their ability to reflect the youth culture of the West Coast made the Beach Boys enormously popular and they released their first major-label album, “Pet Sounds,” in 1965.
